Overview

Elephant Point area ( where Nyarhi Lodge is located) is situated in a region renowned for its natural diversity and concentration of big game, and is undoubtedly one of the best game viewing areas in the Kruger National Park. The estate takes its name from the elephants that can frequently be seen drinking and grazing on the banks of the mighty Sabie River.

However, elephant is not the only magnificent creature you will encounter. Herds of buffalo, prides of lion, leopards and numerous antelope species make their home in the surrounding area. Elephant Point borders the Kruger National Park and is also neighbour to the world famous and exclusive Sabie Sand Game Reserve, home of Mala Mala, Sabie Sabie, Londolozi, Singita, Ulusaba and others.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, stove, oven and microwave. There is a separate scullery and laundry.

Guests can relax at the pool and admire views of the African bush and Sabie River with possible game viewing opportunities. In the evenings, guests can sit around an open camp fire in the traditional boma area.

Grocery shopping before arrival can be arranged and in-house massage therapies or catered private bush barbecues are also available at an additional fee.

    Ngarhi Lodge is situated on the banks of the magnificent Sabi River, providing spectacular views over the river and into the Kruger National Park

    Sabi River also called Save River, river of south eastern Africa, flowing through Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The river rises as the Sabi about 50 miles (80 km) south of Harare (formerly Salisbury) and flows southeast from the Zimbabwean highveld to its confluence with the Odzi.

    The main river, the Sabie, is 230 km long, and is itself a major tributary of the Incomati system, which discharges into the Indian Ocean in Mozambique.
