Join our upcoming 10-day Uganda Safari Group Departures and experience gorilla trekking, wildlife safaris, and breathtaking landscapes, together with like-minded explorers. This Uganda safari group departure offers exceptional value, expert guiding, and unforgettable shared experiences.

It begins with a birding excursion at Mabamba Bay, one of the best places in the world to spot the rare shoebill stork alongside dozens of other wetland bird species.

The journey continues north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will walk on foot with white rhinos before heading to Murchison Falls National Park to complete your Big Five wildlife safari experience with thrilling game drives and a Nile boat cruise.

In Murchison Falls National Park, you will have game drives, offering close encounters with four of the Big Five mammals: elephants, lions, buffaloes, and leopards, alongside giraffes, antelopes, and other savanna species. The park’s rich wildlife density creates exceptional viewing opportunities throughout your stay.

A boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls introduces you to a riverine ecosystem. Along the banks, you can expect to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, giraffes, waterbucks, and a variety of animals that gather to cool off during the heat of the day.

You may also enjoy sport fishing for the legendary Nile perch, following a strict catch-and-release policy to support conservation.

As evening falls, unwind with a sundowner in the heart of the wilderness or along the Nile Delta, where golden-hour light, open skies, and passing wildlife create unforgettable safari moments

The journey continues to Kibale Forest National Park, a tropical rainforest renowned for its highest population of eastern chimpanzees in Africa, with several well-habituated communities.

You will begin with a guided chimpanzee trekking experience, as you observe playful chimpanzees moving through the canopy and going about their daily routines in the wild. Spend up to one hour in their presence, learning about their social behavior, communication, and conservation. For those seeking a deeper experience, you may opt for the chimpanzee habituation experience, which allows extended time with the chimpanzees and researchers.

In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk through the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a biodiversity hotspot offering excellent birding and opportunities to spot additional primates. You may also visit a nearby local community, where you can engage in traditional activities and gain meaningful cultural insights into life around the forest.

Your Discovery Journeys adventure continues in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where savanna plains, crater lakes, and vibrant communities create a rich blend of wildlife and culture.

A boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel offers exceptional wildlife viewing, with large concentrations of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and numerous bird species gathering along the water’s edge.

From here, journey south through the Ishasha Sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, enjoying a game drive en route as you travel toward the misty highlands of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the gateway to your highly anticipated mountain gorilla trekking experience.

You will head to the park headquarters for a briefing ahead of your mountain gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced rangers and guides, enter the forest, trekking through lush vegetation and possibly encountering other forest wildlife along the way. Once you reach a gorilla family, you will spend up to one hour in their presence, observing their behavior, taking photographs, and learning about their social structure and conservation.

Return to the lodge after the trek and later enjoy a community visit, where you will engage with local people and learn about their culture, traditions, and daily life around the forest.

For those seeking a deeper encounter, Bwindi also offers the Gorilla Habituation Experience in the Rushaga sector, providing behind-the-scenes insight into how gorilla families become accustomed to human presence. This experience allows you to stay with the gorillas for up to four hours and is especially ideal for researchers, filmmakers, photographers, and great ape enthusiasts.

End your 10-day Uganda Safari in Lake Mburo National Park, where open savanna, acacia woodlands, and rolling hills create a rewarding finale. Despite being Uganda’s smallest savanna national park, Lake Mburo boasts impressive wildlife diversity. Expect to encounter zebras, giraffes, elands, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species as you explore the park on foot and by vehicle.

You will also enjoy a guided walking safari and an enriching Ankole cultural experience, offering insight into the traditions of the long-horned Ankole cattle keepers and life in this beautiful region.

This marks a perfect ending to an unforgettable journey across Uganda’s most iconic landscapes and wildlife regions.
