Zambezi National Park

Zambezi National Park is a national park located upstream from Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River.

The best time to visit the Lower Zambezi National Park is during the dry season from May to November. Opportunities for game viewing and Zambezi wildlife photography are plentiful when water supplies dwindle between June and October, as animals are out more often searching for their next drink.

During your stay in the Lower Zambezi, you will have a very good chance of seeing the following large mammals: elephant, hippo, buffalo, waterbuck, zebra, impala, bushbuck and kudu. Of the carnivores,

Zambezi NP has good birdlife all year, but birding is best from November to April when the European and north African migratory birds have arrived. This is a great time to see resident birds in their colorful breeding plumage, as it is also nesting season.

Lower Zambezi National Park has a hot climate with a Wet and Dry season and fairly uniform temperatures year-round. However, it gets quite cold at night from May to August. December to February are the wettest months and rain can be expected most days.
