Overview

Elephant Point area ( where Mpfuvu Lodge is located) is situated in a region renowned for its natural diversity and concentration of big game, and is undoubtedly one of the best game viewing areas in the Kruger National Park. The estate takes its name from the elephants that can frequently be seen drinking and grazing on the banks of the mighty Sabie River.

However, elephant is not the only magnificent creature you will encounter. Herds of buffalo, prides of lion, leopards and numerous antelope species make their home in the surrounding area. Elephant Point borders the Kruger National Park and is also neighbour to the world famous and exclusive Sabie Sand Game Reserve, home of Mala Mala, Sabie Sabie, Londolozi, Singita, Ulusaba and others.

Mpfuvu Lodge, although not in the park, is set along the banks of the Sabie River, providing fantastic views into the Kruger National Park. There are 4 luxurious en-suite bedrooms, sleeping 8 people.

This lodge is ultra-modern, dramatic, and open plan in design, with simple, natural high-end décor. It has a private pool, and a large jacuzzi, deck and boma, living areas, indoor & outdoor dining area, kitchen, scullery, TV, gas braai, covered patio and sensory comforts. Including private parking and Wi-Fi.

Elephant Point is said to be in a league of its own, with other offerings inclusive of a mobile spa on call, nature walks and great game viewing from your deck.

    Mpfuvu Lodge is situated on the banks of the magnificent Sabi River, providing spectacular views over the river and into the Kruger National Park

    Sabi River also called Save River, river of south eastern Africa, flowing through Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The river rises as the Sabi about 50 miles (80 km) south of Harare (formerly Salisbury) and flows southeast from the Zimbabwean highveld to its confluence with the Odzi.

    The main river, the Sabie, is 230 km long, and is itself a major tributary of the Incomati system, which discharges into the Indian Ocean in Mozambique.
