Don’t miss the lush rainforests of the Lobeke nature reserve as well as the coral reefs skirting the coast offer phenomenal scuba diving opportunities, while a peppering of surrounding islets make for enchanting day trips.
Nosy Be – Nosy Be, the largest island of the Nosy Be Archipelago, is surrounded by several nearby islands which include Nosy Komba, Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Sakatia and Nosy Mitsio. It is known as the Perfume Island as the air is scented with the ylang-ylang and vanilla that grows there. The island offers excellent fishing and diving opportunities as well as a natural lemur reserve and a resort-style atmosphere. Here the pace of life is as slow and drawn out as the island’s magnificent sunsets.
Nosy Komba – Dotting the ocean just off the northwest coast of Madagascar, Nosy Komba is a spectacularly scenic volcanic island sandwiched between Nosy Be Island and the mainland. This popular tourist destination is known for its remarkably beautiful landscapes featuring a rugged coastline covered in forested hills meeting the crystalline waters and interrupted by magnificent white-sand beach beaches hidden in picturesque coves.
Visitors can look forward to an array of activities including visiting the friendly black lemurs at the Black Lemur Sanctuary, discovering a host of fishing villages scattered along the shoreline and exploring the dusty streets of Ampangorinana, the main village.
Here visitors can browse the market stalls for beautifully embroidered goods, intricate wood carvings and woven baskets. Other highlights of your Nosy Komba beach holiday include bird watching, whale spotting, diving, and snorkelling.

Pre-tour Information
Departure
When arriving in Nosy Be on the morning of day 1 of the tour, you will be picked up from the airport and embark on your tour. Should you arrive prior to day 1, pre-tour accommodation can be arranged and you will be picked up from your hotel on the morning of day 1 (Pick up time will be confirmed on arrival).

Visas
A visa is required to enter the territory of Madagascar and can easily be obtained upon arrival at the airport of Antananarivo with a validity of up to 60 days. Tourists staying for less than one month can purchase a visa for 115’000 Ariary (around 35 €). Paying with the exact amounts or small currency is advised. No photographs are required, however, please ensure that passports are valid for at least 6 months after the return date.

Nosy Be holiday package
On arrival in Nosy Be, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. As one of the most popular destinations in Madagascar, Nosy Be has much to offer the visitor: Beautiful beaches, views from the peak of Mont Passot, scuba diving and Ylang Ylang distillery to name but a few.

Nosy Komba beach lodge
Explore the island of Nosy Komba at your own pace. You can meet the mischievous Black Lemurs, colourful chameleons and some extraordinary beautiful birds and butterflies. If you are interested in snorkelling, beach volleyball, beach racketball, badminton, canoe trips, or kite flying, all equipment you need is available. A perfect Madagascar beach island escape.

Nosy Be
Boat transfer from Nosy Komba back to Nosy Be Airport for the end of the Madagascar tour.
