This Etosha Camping Safari is perfect for the traveller who wants both a short safari and guaranteed sightings. It is a short getaway, from Windhoek to Namibia’s premier wildlife reserve, Etosha National Park. Accordingly, the Etosha pan is a unique wildlife destination and certainly like nowhere else in the world.
For the most part the safari requires semi-participation as you will pitch your own tent and assist with food preparation.
Etosha National Park derives its name from the Etosha Pan – a salt pan covering an area of about 5000 square kilometres.
Of course, if you have a few more days available on your holiday you may prefer the 10-day Camping in Namibia Safari. In addition to Etosha National Park this safari includes highlights like Sossusvlei in the Namib desert.
Etosha National Park is the largest of the Namibian parks and is also home to a great variety of Namibian wildlife. It offers an abundance of wildlife sightings at the water holes. In addition to the water holes along the way, all the camps offer floodlit waterholes for game viewing at night.
The safari includes all camp accommodation, camping equipment, meals, a Namibian-registered driver and guide.
This safari offers value for money as well as the largest variety of mammals in Namibia.
It also features:
Onguma Forest Camp is unfenced and tucked away in the mids of a forest in a dry river bed. The perfect escape into the wild.
Dolomite Camp offers the best sunset and sunrise views in Etosha National Park. The elevated camp offer spectacular panaoramic photographic opportunities.
Etosha Village is just 2km from the Etosha National Park. Rated the best value for money accommodation near Etosha. Come and stay in the Mopane forest!
Mushara Lodge is the main lodge in the Mushara collection. Stylish, pristine and tranquil. Built around a beautiful green garden.
Ongava Tented Camp offers luxury tents made of stone, canvas and thatch. The entire camp sleeps only 16 people.
Onguma Bush Camp is in Onguma Game Reserve on the eastern edge of Etosha National Park. The closest gate to Etosha Park is at Namutoni Camp.
