During this time, the falls are at their most powerful and impressive, with thick mist, a constant roaring sound, and frequent rainbows creating a truly dramatic atmosphere. It is the ideal period to experience the raw force of nature at its peak. However, visitors should be prepared to get completely soaked, and visibility of the falls can sometimes be limited due to the heavy spray.

⇒ For Balanced Views & Weather (June – August)

Water levels remain strong but with significantly less spray, allowing for clearer views of the falls and the surrounding landscape. The cooler, more comfortable temperatures also make it an enjoyable time to visit, and it is often considered the best all-round season to experience Victoria Falls.

⇒ For Activities & Clear Visibility (September – November)

Now at the lowest water levels, offering excellent visibility of the rock face and the dramatic gorge below. It is the best period for activities such as Devil’s Pool and white-water rafting, providing more adventurous and accessible experiences. While the flow of Victoria Falls is less dramatic, the increased accessibility allows visitors to explore and appreciate its geological features in greater detail.
