At Serengeti Balloon Safaris we proudly have 12 expert pilots who fly our balloons year on year. Our pilots are considered the Best of the Best, and they travel from around the world to join us each season. We are also very proud that 3 of our pilots come from Tanzania, one of whom is also Tanzania’s only ballooning examiner. In short, our team of pilots are world class.

In 2023 we proudly flew nearly 20,000 guests over the great plains of the Serengeti and Ruaha, for each of these guests we recognized their significant investment in time and money and ensured that they enjoyed the trip of a lifetime, creating memories they will cherish forever.

It always continues to amaze us just how stand out our balloon flights are for our guests. Time and time again, our clients refer to their ballooning adventure as being THE highlight of their safari and worth every penny. This kind of feedback is why we do what we do and why all of our amazing team have worked for us for years!

As the 2025 booking season starts with a bang in different places of the world as clients get ready for the holiday in Africa whose Serengeti and Ruaha are part it let our Balloon Safaris flight always inspire would be clients to experience an element they rave about when they get home.

We fly year-round in the Serengeti, following the herds as they move from calving season in the south to the western corridor and then on to the northern grasslands in Kogatende.  Amazing!

RUAHA BALLOONING IS BACK!

Operating from June - October annually we are now taking bookings for the 2024/25 season. 

Soar over the wild and wonderful Ruaha National Park in a totally exclusive ballooning experience. Here you will be the only balloon in the air as you fly along the Great Ruaha River and its abundant wildlife. A balloon safari in Ruaha is a totally unique experience and one that can add an unforgettable highlight to any safari. We particularly love the post-flight breakfast under a gigantic boabab tree!
