The park is located in the Kunene region and shares boundaries with the regions of Oshana, Oshikoto and Otjozondjupa.
The Etosha National Park is best to visit during the month of May to December. Although the place is a year-round destination.
Animals
Etosha National Park is world-renowned for its spectacular wildlife. It has one of the largest populations of big-game species in the world, including lions, elephants, rhinoceroses, elands, zebras, and springbok and black and white rhinos.
The game reserve is also home to the world’s largest bird, the ostrich, and the heaviest flying bird, the kori bustard, vulture, hawk, eagle, guinea fowl, geese including the flamingo.
Etosha National Park has a very dry savanna desert climate: the annual mean average temperature is 24 °C (75 °F). In winter (May to October), the mean nighttime lows are around 10 °C (50 °F), while in summer (November to April) daytime temperatures often hover around 40 °C (104 °F).
